Social responsibility

At Kilnbridge, we are committed to our social responsibility by actively embracing the communities in which we operate.

We are dedicated to the highest standards for ethical labour practices, responsible procurement and positive impact on society, resulting in mutually beneficial relationships for the business and our stakeholders. It is through this approach that we believe the fine line between commercial success and our social and environmental responsibilities is achieved.

We recognise that what we do and how we do it is just as important as the results we achieve. Therefore, our core values of responsibility, integrity, collaboration and excellence are central to all our daily activities and business relationships. We promote these values across our entire business to ensure we develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with stakeholders who share these common principles.

Ethical business is an important part in all our Services such as Construction, Demolition and Fabrication.

Kilnbridge was launched in east London and owes much of its success to the redevelopment of this part of the capital. Our involvement with the local community is therefore something that we take very seriously.

We actively support many of our own and clients’ local community activities and fundraising events and participate in various challenges and activities on behalf of selected charities. Kilnbridge also sponsors several youth football and sports clubs not only in London but in locations close to our projects.

Community Responsibilities in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds and other Major UK Cities

Kilnbridge is proud to support a range of local charities and groups which do important work helping the lives of many people.

We have a long-standing relationship with the Brentwood Catholic Children’s Society (BCCS), who provide counselling and support for over 3,500 children in east London and Essex. We have completed work for them including converting offices into a counselling suite and support and sponsor their various events.

For the past couple of years we have assisted St. Joseph’s Hospice by erecting a 35-foot Christmas tree for their annual Christmas remembrance service. St. Joseph’s Hospice supports people in east and north London with serious life-limiting conditions, also offering a wide range of services to their families and carers. They have a special relationship with Kilnbridge, having previously cared for former employees of the company.

We recently completed renovation works for Avonmouth Community Centre in association with Balfour Beatty. Our operatives helped to remove damaged tiles and build a new 'bug home' and outdoor sink for children as well as tidy up the area and clear up vegetation, leaves and fallen fruits.

We are also long-term patrons of the construction industry charity The Lighthouse Club and regularly attend and support their events.

Other charities and groups we have supported in the last 18 months include Ambition, Aspire, Achieve, Caritas Anchor House, CRASH and the Franciscan Friary. As well as this, we promote charitable and good cause events including National Fitness Day and World Mental Health Day.
