Our history

Kilnbridge is an employee owned company founded in 1992 as a general building and civil engineering contractor by Dermot McDermott.

Initially undertaking builders’ work packages on the Canary Wharf development, the business earned a reputation for being able to deliver complex construction works to a very high standard and achieving difficult programme deadlines. The specialist business units of Fabrication, Fire Protection, Concrete Cutting, and Controlled Demolition, and Waste Management evolved during this period to provide the flexibility required to meet the needs of our clients.

In 2002, Kilnbridge established its head office and main plant depot K PLANT at Cody Road Business Park in east London, where it is still based today. The Company also operates a Midlands Office in Birmingham, Detailing Office in Belfast, Fabrication and Manufacturing Facility in Northampton and a Material Recycling Facility in Rainham.

Since its formation, Kilnbridge has developed into a construction and engineering business operating as a turnkey specialist structures contractor. Today, it provides its clients engineered solutions to complex projects across a wide range of industry sectors, drawing on its full range of knowledge, experience, expertise and skills.
