Our history

Kilnbridge is a privately owned company founded in 1992 as a general building and civil engineering contractor by David and Dermot McDermott.

Initially undertaking builders’ work packages on the Canary Wharf development, the business earned a reputation for being able to deliver complex construction works to a very high standard and achieving difficult programme deadlines. The specialist business units of Fabrication, Fire Protection, Demolition and Dismantling, Concrete Cutting, and Controlled Demolition, Waste Management and Post-tensioning evolved during this period to provide the flexibility required to meet the needs of our clients.

In 2002, Kilnbridge established its head office and main plant depot K-PLANT at Cody Road Business Park in east London, where it is still based today. The Company also operates a Midlands Office in Birmingham, Detailing Office in Belfast, Fabrication and Manufacturing Facility in Northampton and a Material Recycling Facility in Rainham.

Since its formation, Kilnbridge has developed into a construction and engineering business operating as a turnkey specialist structures contractor. Today, it provides its clients engineered solutions to complex projects across a wide range of industry sectors, drawing on its full range of knowledge, experience, expertise and skills.
