Our Fabrication unit has evolved over the years from providing an in-house service to an established structural steel and architectural metalwork contractor.
From our modern fabrication facility and utilising the latest BIM-compliant and 3D modelling techniques, we provide a full service from initial concept design through to on-site installation. Our factory production control ensures that all structural steel components are fully CE marked up to and including Execution Class 3.
One of the key parts of successfully delivering structural and architectural steel projects is the design process. We utilise Tekla 3D modelling software and the latest structural modelling methods to provide a complete structural and detailed design service to our clients.
Our ability to deliver complex projects in a response-driven market requires us to work closely with our clients and their representatives at design stage to ensure all parties' expectations for both quality and safety are achieved.
Kilnbridge undertake the design, manufacture and installation of all primary and secondary structural steelwork elements. We specialise in undertaking projects where there are particular challenges such as complex design requirements or restricted access for installation.
We have the capability to undertake large new-build structures such as structural frames, bridge and lift shaft structures, canopy structures and railway gantries, as well as extensive retrofitting of primary and secondary steelwork structures and temporary works.
Through our work on the Thameslink Programme and other Network Rail and London Underground projects, we have developed our capabilities to become one of the leaders in bridge strengthening, refurbishment and replacement works.
Kilnbridge can also incorporate both controlled demolition and civils works into our scope to provide our clients with the complete package if required.
Kilnbridge specialises in providing architectural metalwork, including stair structures, balustrades, specialist wall and roof cladding systems, balconies and projects where only bespoke solutions will deliver the client's requirements.
Utilising a combination of materials such as carbon and stainless steel, aluminium, glass, GRP and wood, we can provide these services as either stand-alone projects or as part of a combined package where we provide the primary structures and the associated architectural finishes, which is always a critical interface on projects requiring both of these disciplines.
Kilnbridge can provide an extensive range of both architectural and functional finishes to our products including:
- Intumescent finishes
- Galvanised coatings
- Full range of rail and highway-compliant systems (both on and off-site), including anti-slip surfacing
- Polyester powder coating and nylon coating, fully compliant with DDA regulations where applicable
- Anodising, vitreous enamel (VE), shot-peening and a variety of anti-graffiti finishes
