Scope of works

Kilnbridge were awarded the twenty-week contract to remove the external temporary steel façade restraint system from a Grade II listed building adjacent to Buckingham Palace.

The scope of works included the following:

• The removal of the advertising screen
• The removal of the external and internal façade support steel
• The removal the concrete supporting blocks, using diamond drilling and wire sawing methods to mitigate noise to the surrounding area and vibration back into the existing structure.

Challenges / Achievements

• The project was completed on programme and with no incidents
• All arisings were removed from site with a 100% recycling rate
