Using concrete cutting and breaking methodologies, Kilnbridge reduced the level of the reinforced concrete (RC) ground floor slab within this Grade II listed building. Kilnbridge then fabricated and installed new structural steel columns and beams to form a new roof level. The RC works also included the construction of new columns, upstands, ramps and staircases.
Fire protection works extended to intumescent painting of all new and existing steelwork as well as passive fire protection works to various builders-work openings
The scheme required Kilnbridge to excavate and expose existing drainage units, facilitate the installation of replacement units and waterproofing.
Various door openings were formed / broken out and extended whilst redundant openings were infilled.
New service risers were formed and fire rated riser platform systems were installed.
Kilnbridge also made good brickwork and carried out specialist brickwork repairs.
