Kilnbridge crowned winners at the 2018 BCI Awards

Kilnbridge are delighted to announce that we have won the Temporary Works Initiative of the Year (Civil Engineering) award at this year's British Construction Industry Awards!

We were declared the winners for our work at Water Street Bridge in Wood Wharf, London (pictured above), an innovative and interesting project for which our different business units collaborated to construct a semi-submerged abutment, bascule chamber and marine deck.

The winner was chosen by a judging panel of leading clients, designers and contractors, who commented that the project was "an outstanding example of a company innovating, knowing its strengths and realising where it was lacking and pulling in technologies from other sectors."

They added that "their understanding of the client's requirements and scope and their empathy with the stakeholders stood out and they came up with a high-class solution that was better than the original concept design."

Kilnbridge collected the award at a ceremony at Grosvenor House in London attended by representatives of the company and project including Managing Director Dermot McDermott, Construction Director Tony Collier and Project Manager Bob Towell (pictured below).
