Hinkley Point C team complete significant concrete pour

28 May 2019

Last week our team at Hinkley Point C achieved a significant milestone with the first concrete pour on one of the six 5,000t underwater reinforced concrete heads being constructed at the Avonmouth site.

The pour was the culmination of months of preparation and complex design works. David Sanchez, Michael Tiffoney, Kestutis Sileikis and Rick Kopec along with 40 management and engineering staff and over 150 operatives did a spectacular job in ensuring the stringent conditions of the project were adhered to and even bettered, highlighting the environment of enthusiasm, diligence and professionalism they have harboured throughout.

The success of the pour also demonstrated the faultless skill and dedication of those involved and their ability to manage these complex works in a first class accident free environment. The Kilnbridge team associated with the project have underlined the values we strive for in all our work of responsibility, integrity, collaboration and excellence.

Well done to everyone and may the great work continue!
