Lee Rowland interviewed for BBC News

10 September 2018

One of our carpenters Lee Rowland recently spoke to BBC News about mental health issues within the construction industry.

Lee battled anxiety for many years and now helps to spread awareness of mental health issues.

This is an important topic at a time when construction workers are 3.7 times more likely to die of suicide than any other occupation whilst the suicide rate among male labourers is three times higher than the UK average for men.

Kilnbridge is committed to providing a working environment where our staff understand the importance of mental health and feel they can talk about it openly.

In the near future Kilnbridge will also be rolling out a new programme advising our staff on and encouraging them to partake in activities to improve their mental and physical health and wellbeing, including working on both through their diet and fitness.
