Kilnbridge comprises four distinct operational business, each operating independently across different markets, but working together in any combination that our clients need. Together, they provide a highly flexible, comprehensive suite of services that address our clients’ needs across the entire lifecycle of a structure.
Our expertise encompasses all materials and spans reinforced concrete, structural steel, fire protection, and complex structural alterations. In short, we design, build, adapt, repair and protect our clients’ structures.

Our History
Founded in 1991 by Dermot and David McDermott, Kilnbridge began as a general building and civil engineering contractor, delivering builders’ work packages on Canary Wharf.
With the successful completion of a series of complex projects under difficult programme deadlines, the business soon earned a reputation for quality and reliability.
Over time the business was developed, evolving to meet our customers’ needs. In 2001, we opened our head office, consolidation centre, and main plant depot in East London. Today, Kilnbridge has regional presence in Birmingham, Lisburn, Northampton and Runcorn, reflecting our national reach.
Today, we are the UK’s leading structural specialist working with our customers to deliver projects throughout the UK and across a wide range of sectors, drawing on our full range of knowledge, experience and skills.
In 2021, Kilnbridge became employee-owned, unlocking new opportunities and benefits across the organisation.
