Net Zero Targets Validated by SBTi

News

Kilnbridge is delighted to confirm that our net-zero targets have been officially validated as aligning with climate science by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi).

The latest climate science from the IPCC has been described by the UN as “code red for humanity.” Science-based targets provide us and others with a clear roadmap to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, ensuring we’re doing our part to combat climate change. They define how much and how quickly we need to reduce emissions to meet the Paris Agreement goals.

Our targets:

  • Reduce scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year
  • Measure and reduce scope 3 emissions
  • Achieve net-zero by 2040, with a commitment to reduce scope 1+2+3 emissions by 90% by 2040 from a 2022 base year.
