Last week and following a rigorous judging process involving an independent panel of more than 100 senior industry figures, Kilnbridge emerged victorious for their work at One North Quay in Canary Wharf and named Carbon Reduction Champion of the Year. Judges recognised the winners across 24 categories, ensuring a fair and respected process that remains a powerful mark of excellence across the construction community.
In the judges words, they were impressed not only with the use of different additives and mixes to drive down the embodied carbon of concrete but also the ongoing considerations given to cement alternatives, attempts to make solutions ‘cost neutral’ and embedding processes and a positive culture across the organisation to support wider carbon reductions.
