The New Civil Engineer Awards and the New Civil Engineer Graduate and Apprentice Awards were once again celebrated together, recognising excellence across the civil engineering sector while highlighting the emerging talent shaping its future.

I’ts been another outstanding industry response to the call to be recognised as the best of the best of civil engineering consultancies along with the talent of the new generation reflecting the importance of early careers into the industry.

The NCE Awards attracted over 150 entries with 123 shortlisted and reviewed by a panel of more than 90 expert judges.  Meanwhile, the NCE Graduate & Apprentice Awards saw 107 submissions across three categories – Apprentice of the Year, Degree Apprentice of the Year and Graduate of the Year. A panel of 18 judges from across the industry rigorously assessed 16 shortlisted candidates.

The winners including three early career professionals were celebrated in front of over 500 key industry figures gathered at a gala ceremony held on 2 July 2026 in London at the Hilton on Park Lane.

Following a rigorous Judging process, Kilnbridge emerged as the winner of Impact in Structures.

The judges praised them for “Delivering a fantastic presentation with genuine passion and enthusiasm, and the range of projects and their levels of innovation were highly commended. The team’s breadth of skills reflected their work across all sectors of the construction market, and the company clearly values and prioritises its people. With clear growth across multiple markets and innovation at its core, Kilnbridge is well positioned to make a lasting positive impact on the construction sector and the wider supply chain.

NCE editor Gavin Pearson said:

“The biggest question we are asked to report on in infrastructure at New Civil Engineer, is how the industry is going to deliver everything being asked of it. That question – whatever the sector or impact – sits behind many of our news stories, features and guest articles, as well as our roundtables, webinars and conferences. And the winners of the NCE Awards, chosen by industry experts spanning public bodies, engineers, client organisations and others, represent the most powerful answer to that question – the very best practices, technologies, skills and companies there are.”
