Kilnbridge, the UK’s leading structures specialist, has delivered its strongest financial performance in recent years, marking a year of progress, expanded capability and continued confidence in its long-term sustainable growth strategy.

The Group achieved a 50% increase in turnover and an 81% rise in profit before tax to £6.7 million – its highest result since transitioning to an employee-owned group. Turnover increased to £129 million, supported by a forward order book of £300 million, providing a robust platform for future investment and sustainable growth.

Over the past year, the Group has strengthened its management structure and expanded operational capacity, ensuring it is equipped to deliver a larger and more diverse portfolio of projects across its core sectors. Its organisational model is designed to support delivery at increasing scale while maintaining the high standards of safety, quality and service excellence for which Kilnbridge is known.

Kilnbridge’s four operational businesses – Kilnbridge Structures, Kilnbridge Design and Engineering, Kilnbridge Structural Services and Kilnbridge Fire Protection – operate independently across their respective markets while combining their capabilities to deliver integrated solutions as One Kilnbridge. This approach enables the Group to leverage its strengths, support sustainable growth and partner on major, complex projects across the UK.

Over the past year, Kilnbridge has continued to expand its footprint across sectors including data centres, transport and nuclear energy. The Group completed a series of projects, including the internationally acclaimed Colne Valley Viaduct for HS2, Beaulieu Park Station in Essex and Sadler’s Wells East and BBC Music at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.

Kilnbridge is currently delivering a range of high‑profile projects including Project Aleph in Mayfair, One North Quay in Canary Wharf, The Hub in Aldermaston and further infrastructure delivery across HS2. The Group is proud to work alongside some of the industry’s leading contractors, reflecting the trust placed in Kilnbridge to deliver engineering excellence on the UK’s most complex and iconic projects.

Kilnbridge Founder and Chairman Dermot McDermott said: “2025 has been a strong year for Kilnbridge, with all projects delivered successfully and profitably.”

“Our £300 million order book positions us strongly for the next 12 months. Over the past year we have strengthened our team structure, expanded our operational capacity and built an organisational model that supports delivery at scale. This means we can take on a larger and more diverse portfolio of projects while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.”

Kilnbridge Chief Executive Officer Owen Dannatt added: “We continue to deliver engineering excellence and innovation across some of the most complex and iconic projects in the UK, guided by a commitment to sustainability and safety. We are proud to work with a wide range of trusted customers who value the quality of our delivery and the depth of expertise across our business.

“Our success is only possible because of our people. As an employee‑owned group, their pride, skill and dedication are at the heart of everything we do. Issuing our highest employee profit‑share payment to date reflects the progress we have made together and recognises the hard work and commitment of our teams across the business.”

Kilnbridge continues to focus on sustainability as a core pillar of its long‑term strategy, underpinned by a commitment to leave a positive and lasting legacy on the built environment. The Group also continues to invest in people through apprenticeships, graduate programmes and development pathways, supporting strong retention and ensuring that its values are embedded throughout the organisation.

With strengthened capability, enhanced capacity and a confident outlook supported by a significant order book, Kilnbridge is well positioned to continue its sustainable growth, partnering with leading contractors and helping to deliver the UK’s most complex and high‑profile engineering and construction projects.
