Kilnbridge's fabrication unit provided assistance in developing Grip 3 costing options and also advised on the practicalities of the various proposed strengthening options involving primary and secondary steel and was thereafter appointed to deliver this programme of bridge strengthening and refurbishment works.

Our works involved initial surveying, design development, manufacture and fabrication and finally on-site installation of additional primary and secondary structural steel work to the underside of the structures, followed by a process of transferring load into the new elements.

Each structure had its own unique set of issues meaning that the design and scope of the works, along with access restrictions, required the fabrication team to keep a very flexible approach to the contract.
