One Hyde Park

The full scope of works for this project included fire stopping to ductwork, pipe work and cable tray penetrations passing through all fire compartment walls and concrete floor slabs as well as fire prevention works.

Typically of the level of detail and quality demanded on every aspect of this development, it was a requirement that the aesthetics of fire stopping and fire prevention matched that of the adjacent finishes whether block work or concrete, even when hidden from view.

As a result, a new benchmark for this standard of finish was realised. In addition, each item of completed fire stopping was digitised and catalogued for specific inclusion in the Operations and Maintenance Manual. Courtesy of the commendations received from Laing O’Rourke for this project, Kilnbridge was a finalist at the Construction News Specialist Awards 2011.

The project also won the following awards:

  • RIBA Regional Award
  • The Daily Telegraph British Homes Build Quality Awards 2011
  • International Property Award for Highly Commended Development
  • Regional NHBC Pride in the Job Awards for Quality and Seal of Excellence
  • Commended at the PTA Post-tensioned Structure Awards
