Demolition team underway on first contract
27 February 2018
Kilnbridge's recently formed Demolition and Dismantling unit has started on its first mainstream demolition contract.
Works have commenced on the partial demolition of the Vittoria Wharf warehouse (pictured above) which will enable the construction of a new footbridge connecting Hackney Wick and Fish Island.
Kilnbridge will also be involved in the controlled demolition of the nearby H14 bridge abutments (pictured below), which will allow it to be replaced by a new wider road bridge.
The project forms part of a scheme led by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC). It is focusing on a large range of infrastructure works to the East Wick and Sweetwater developments that are both set to be located in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
