We collect and manage a broad range of waste streams, from mixed general construction and demolition waste to segregated recycling streams and commercial, industrial and hazardous waste.

We use a range of established and modern technologies and equipment to screen, identify, segregate and recover materials for reuse in the construction industry. These materials include brick, timber, metals, plastics, cardboard, paper and plasterboard. We are also at the forefront of producing materials suitable for the UK Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) export market.

We are currently diverting 100% of our clients’ waste from landfill through a rigorously managed and audited chain of custody process ensuring full traceability. We recommend on-site segregation of waste wherever possible.

To ensure that every waste movement can be accounted for, we operate an electronic ticket system with full traceability and an audit function. During the course of a contract, we provide each client with a detailed monthly recycling report identifying the percentage and tonnage recycled, broken down by material type. We also supply the raw data in spreadsheet format, which can be easily imported into Smart Waste, WRAP’s SWMP or the client’s own bespoke software.

      Collection, Segregation, Recycling and Recovery

Kilnbridge offers a comprehensive range of hazardous and COSHH waste management services involving the testing, analysis, collection, and disposal of materials including; asbestos, contaminated soils, fluorescent tubes and bulbs, plasterboard, spent batteries, waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and empty paint, solvent and mastic containers.

Where feasible these materials are recycled, otherwise they are processed and disposed of at a suitably licensed facility, according to the appropriate British and European regulations. We provide consignment notes and returns as part of a rigorously managed and audited chain of custody process, ensuring full traceability.

      Hazardous Waste and COSHH Waste

FORS provides our customers and the public with the assurance that we are an operator that has achieved this important standard, which is based upon legal compliance, safety, efficiency and environmental protection. Our industry requires that all HGVs delivering to its projects are fitted with the necessary safety equipment and that all our drivers have undergone the driver training scheme for the protection of vulnerable road users.

We have invested in vehicle telematics to manage and monitor fleet performance, driver behaviour and provision of real-time scheduling information for our clients. Kilnbridge is also a listed Champion of the Construction Logistics and Community Safety (CLOCS) scheme involved in the management of work-related road risk and road safety culture in the construction industry.

      Driver Behaviour and Safety

We operate an efficient skip hire service supplying open and enclosed containers with capacities from 6 to 14 cubic yards. Skips are suitable for all common dry and non-hazardous waste materials. We supply skips specifically for dry hazardous waste such as asbestos and active waste including plasterboard.

We also supply crane-tested skips for logistically constrained or high-rise construction projects. Kilnbridge has developed a test that not only checks the integrity of the lifting eyes but also of the body of the skip itself by applying an independently verified load of 135% of the SWL (in excess of LOLER and PUWER requirements) directly to the floor of the skip whilst suspending it from the four lifting eyes on the main frame.

Container movements can be scheduled or on-call off.

Ideal for large quantities of waste material, roll-on-off containers range in capacity from 16 to 40 cubic yards. Our 16 and 20 cubic yard containers have low-level sides for easy top-loading of heavy material and our 40 cubic yard containers are available either open or enclosed. Container movements can be scheduled or on-call off.

      Roll-on-off Hire

We offer a range of waste compactor solutions that include mobile and static compactors. Wheelie bins are intended for small volumes of lightweight, compactable waste and are available in three sizes: 240 litres, 660 litres and 1,100 litres. Compactor and wheelie bin solutions are ideally suited for multi-storey logistically constrained construction sites where waste can be managed and stored at multiple levels concurrently and easily transported to the collection point for scheduled deliveries.
