Key Facts

Location:
Greater London Bridge Area
Contractor:Skanska Civil Engineering
Client:Network Rail
Consultant:Ramboll
Value:£2m+ (Ongoing)

Our works involved initial survey, design development, manufacture and finally on-site installation of additional structural steel work to generally the underside of the structures, followed by a process of transferring load into the new elements. The final phase is to undertake the paint remedial works to Network Rail standards.

Each structure has its own unique set of issues meaning that the design and scope of the works, along with access restrictions, requires us to keep a very flexible approach to the contract and in this particular case, we are seeing early contractor involvement and collaboration from the design stage paying dividends for all parties.
